REGARDING THE ACTORS INVOLVED IN OUR PROJECTS, REGARDING SOCIETY AND REGARDING EMPLOYEES

ETF teams are committed to designing and building together, in accordance with ethical principles to promote the interests of rail. Together for green growth, for sustainable career paths and for sharing the fruits of performance!

1. TOGETHER, DESIGNING AND BUILDING !

We commit to promoting comprehension and consultation in running our projects in order to better integrate our partners. ETF instils its culture of consultation and know-how in collective project governance by combining all the stakeholders concerned: local politicians, local economic actors, associations, local inhabitants and businesses, users, employees.

2. TOGETHER, RESPECTING ETHICAL PRINCIPLES !

We commit to total transparency about our practices and those of our sub-contractors. As a signatory of the UN’s Global Compact, VINCI and all its subsidiaries promise to respect, support and promote human rights within their sphere of influence. VINCI has a human rights committee which meets several times a year under the auspices of a member of the executive committee.

3. TOGETHER, DEFENDING THE INTERESTS OF RAIL TRAFFIC !

ETF has aligned itself with other companies to promote the interests of the profession before public authorities and financing bodies, highlighting its capacity for innovation, discussing topics linked to evolutions in the sector (technical, social, health and safety, etc.) and taking part in inter-company training plans.

4. TOGETHER, FOR GREEN GROWTH !

VINCI commits to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 30% by 2020, to accompany its customers in achieving better energy efficiency and encouraging them to adopt eco-responsible behaviour.
In its field, ETF has committed to reducing CO2 in particular with the use of dual-flow trains which will mark the end of empty worksite wagons and therefore substantially reduce a worksite’s environmental footprint.
ETF is also committed to promoting re-use and recycling of rail elements by buying back rails, sleepers and ballast from its customers.

5. TOGETHER, A CITIZENRY COMMITMENT !

VINCI supports its employees’ community commitments, in particular through the Group’s foundations throughout the world. Actions for social and professional integration are primarily run by the Group’s network of foundations which combines financial support and employee time in the form of association-based sponsorship initiatives.
As its level, ETF acts on all the employment geographies of its worksite. By recruiting on integration contracts, temporary contracts for the period of the worksite, sometimes using temps, and by training teams on-site, ETF has become an actor of social development.

6. TOGETHER, TARGETING “ZERO ACCIDENTS” !

We refuse to consider work-related accidents a foregone conclusion, and our ‘zero accident’ involves applying our health and safety policy to all those involved on our worksites and in our operations.
ETF’s health & safety prevention culture is based on the attitudes of all of its employees to control the risks inherent to rail activities. All of its managers have been trained in the ‘prevention’ culture by passing it on to those working in the field.

7. TOGETHER, FOR DIVERSITY AND EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES !

We commit to feminising our management and opening it up to people of all origins through a policy seeking to combat all forms of discrimination at the time of recruitment and in labour relations.
ETF is strongly committed to a disability policy which seeks in particular to better manage disability in the company, consolidate links with specialised contractors and focus on employability and integration in the company.

8. TOGETHER, FOR SUSTAINABLE CAREERS !

We commit to proposing training and mobility solutions to all employees with a view to long-term professionalization, by helping to disseminate a shared technical and managerial culture, and accompanying people throughout their professional lives.
Fully dedicated to railway trades, the ETF Academy opened its doors in January in Beauchamp. Its purpose is to cater for the different changes currently affecting our sector, prepare teams for the requirements of the future, and anticipate future changes in the railway industry. It is also serves the purpose of helping our employees to grow: 2 clear, distinct objectives.

9. TOGETHER, SHARING THE FRUITS OF OUR LABOURS !

Wherever possible, we commit to ensuring 100% of employees benefit from a profit sharing mechanism linked to our economic performance, whilst adapting it to the legal and social frameworks of the different countries where we work.
